Summary:
Suzy does chores around the house, but she starts to wonder why she needs to help others when she’d rather not. Her dad reminds Suzy of all the times that others helped her when she needed it. That starts her thinking about how common it is for people in her community to help others, and she is reminded of how she feels all grown up and happy whenever she does something for someone else. The story concludes with encouraging words: “All sorts of people need help out there so give a helping hand. Who knows? The next person to need help might be you!”
