Summary:
Wacky Willy, a creative and quirky boy, describes his friendless lifestyle, which he kind of prefers since he hasn’t yet met anyone who is like him. When he meets another boy, Tiny Olly, who shares his hobby of making masks, they start to spend time as friends, being creative, scaring cats, telling spooky monster stories, and walking to school together. How special it is to have a friend who understands you and shares your interests! Note to teachers: Remind students that it’s not cool to scare animals. 

Lesson Objectives: 

1. Students demonstrate more know-how when it comes to making and keeping friends, realizing that a good place to look for friends is to hang around those who share your interests.

6. Do you have a friend who has the same interests as you? What do you like to do together? 
7. If you don’t have a friend who likes the same things you do, ask your parents to help you brainstorm about places you could go where you’re likely to meet someone with similar interests.
8. Do you like to be alone never, sometimes, or most of the time? Choose one answer and explain your choice. 
9. Do you know how to make a new friend? If you don’t know, ask someone to help you.
