Definition: Courage is being willing to face something hard or scary, like trying to do something you’ve never done before. In short: Do good, try hard even when it’s scary. Summary: T-Rex terrorizes the other dinosaurs until Edna, the very first chicken, shows up. T-Rex bullies her, too, but she doesn’t back down. Even though Edna ends up in his mouth, she confidently manages to protect herself with her pointy claws and feathers that make T-Rex sneeze. Courageous Edna saves the day! The plant-eating dinosaurs are relieved and grateful when T-Rex leaves the forest and never comes back. Lesson Objectives:

Students are guided to work on being confident in themselves, to recognize their unique strengths, including the courage within that helps them in difficult times.
